The medal reflects on where humankind stands before and within two metaphysical concepts that constitute our existence. Nature and time are not separable. On one side is a double trinity, with man in the foreground becoming part of the tree, of nature. On the other, man is set in a landscape representing the passage of the years. The medal was made for the millennium.
